Sending a follow-up a day or two after speaking with employers or new connections at a Career Fair or Networking event can help you make a good impression. You can send an email if you got their email address or a short message as part of a connection request on LinkedIn.
Topics to Include
- Thank them for taking the time to speak with you.
- Mention something you discussed to help them remember your conversation.
- If you are actively searching for a position, name the position that you are applying for or applied to at their company and include your resume if you are connecting via email.
