Welcome to the Life Sciences Community! Members of this community are part of a rapidly growing industry where inquisitive minds come together to innovate and contribute to the study of living things. The life sciences industry is a collection of thriving companies and organizations centered around pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, biomedical technologies, food processing, healthcare, pharma, research, manufacturing, and work focused on all living things. Students who are diving into life sciences have interests in subjects including biology, medicine, chemistry, agriculture, physics, and engineering.

Students majoring in Applied Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, and Biological Engineering possess characteristics of curiosity, analytical thinking, persistence, creativity, organization, adaptability, logic, communication, and are highly detailed oriented. Students in these majors may find diverse careers in the life sciences industry where they can apply their education and skills from the rigorous Wentworth curriculum into the workplace.

Career Outcomes

The Career Outcomes Survey is administered bi-annually to all bachelor’s and master’s degree students who participated in the December, April, or August commencement exercises. The data below is collected up to six months following graduation by Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Center for Cooperative Education and Career Development. This information is collected in accordance with the national standards established by NACE.

First Destination

First Destination is a nationally recognized term that is used to describe the first experiences of college graduates.  At Wentworth, we survey students at cap and gown pick-up and follow up within six months following graduation. Undergraduate students pursue a variety of opportunities post-graduation, including full-time employment, graduate school, and entrepreneurial endeavors.
