The Takeda Summer Internship Program is a 12-week opportunity that provides exposure into one of the top global biotech companies. Throughout the program, you will gain hands-on experience working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting, expand your professional network, and develop a deeper understanding of how we serve our patients. This role is designed to challenge you and be influential to your future career.
Program features include:

Assigned peer mentor to help introduce you to Takeda’s culture and values

Participate in professional development and networking events (I.e., National intern day celebrations, resume workshops, coffee chats with senior leaders at the site, etc.)

Work in cross function teams and collaborate with seasoned professionals

Exposure to Takeda’s technologies, products, and global environment
What Past Engineering Internships Have Looked Like:
-
Supporting our manufacturing environment by troubleshooting machines, designing floor plans, calculating life cycles of manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting when appropriate, working with the distillation process, etc.

Identification of areas for improvement within the manufacturing area, filter press rebuilds, equipment commissioning, technical writing exercises

Trending measurements, technical writings and drawings, investigations, partnered with vendors for manufacturing solutions
Timeline of Program:

Two start dates: June 3rd or June 17th

Expected completion of the internship program is late August or early September, depending on start date
What you bring to Takeda:
-
Must be pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline

Must be a US citizen, lawful permanent resident of the US, or otherwise authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment:

Depending on the department, you may work in controlled environments requiring special gowning. Gowning requirements include a wearing protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. No make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish or artificial fingernails may be worn in the manufacturing environment

May work in a cold, wet environment

Can work several shifts, including weekends

Work several shifts and overtime may be necessary

May be asked to work in a confined area

Some Clean Room and cool/hot storage conditions
