Position Title: Intern, Software Engineering
We’re looking for dynamic, creative, talented, and committed Computer/Electrical/Biomedical Engineering student to work on our wearable product solutions that change the way people live and work. This role will focus on providing support to our engineering team and working closely with our suppliers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports engineering activities such as design, debugging, and testing of software and/or firmware that supports our products
- Performs operational test and debugging on prototype systems
- Participates in the design and development novel algorithms for medical and wearable products
- Model and analyze systems and algorithms for research and internal review
- Develop GUI applications as tools needed to debug and evaluate our products
- Create 2D, 3D, VR, and AR applications using Unity and C#
- Develop firmware for our system microcontrollers and processors following guidelines from senior engineering staff
- Develop and execute test plans for unit testing; and work closely with the system test team to insure the delivery of high-quality design
- Interacts with team members from other disciplines to complete project deliverables, solve problems and to report status
Functional Skills/Knowledge
- Solid analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) along with good sound interpersonal skills.
- Ability to comfortably use standard Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Email)
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or guidance
Education and Experience:
- Should be in an Electrical, Computer or Biomedical Engineering career path
- GPA above 3.0 is preferred
- Preferred, but not required: Experience with Machine Learning, (Bio)Signal processing, Test design and execution
- Experience with Matlab, Python, C or C++ is a plus
- Experience building applications or frameworks for VR.
- Should have good work ethic and detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) along with good sound interpersonal skill
- Previous industry experience working for a company or a consultant company in the medical, wearables or biomedical goods space is highly desirable.

- Applicant must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Applicant must be capable to conduct 40 hours a week on-site
