Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Biomedical Engineering/ Computer science intern to join our dynamic team. This role is a unique opportunity for a high-achieving student to dive into the development and testing of groundbreaking wearable technologies. Working alongside our expert engineering team and in close collaboration with our suppliers, you will contribute to projects that blend cutting-edge technology with real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, testing, modification, and assembly of prototype wearable technologies.
- Engage in operational tests and debugging of systems, applying analytical skills to optimize performance.
- Contribute to the creation of novel algorithms for medical and wearable applications, utilizing programming languages such as Python, Java, and C.
- Analyze systems and algorithms for research and development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals, offering innovative solutions and insights.
- Strong foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in Machine Learning, including familiarity with algorithms and models relevant to biomedical engineering applications.
- Ability to apply ML techniques to analyze and interpret complex datasets, enhancing product development and innovation.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science, with a strong academic record (GPA 3.0 or above preferred).
- Solid foundation in algorithms, object-oriented design, computer systems, and database design, as demonstrated through coursework or personal projects.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, C, Matlab, and familiarity with JavaScript, BioPython, TensorFlow, PyTorch and Pandas
- Experience with data processing and visualization; experience in research settings (such as computational biology or systems biology signaling) is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute detailed test plans, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Previous experience in the medical, wearables, or biomedical industry through internships or projects is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
