As one of our Customer Support Assistants at Harvard Law School IT Department, you will provide endpoint support to our community of students, staff, and faculty. This includes audiovisual support in event spaces, asset management, and Information Technology Services (ITS) Service Desk support. You will work to resolve customer requests by providing timely, quality customer support and by following through on those you cannot resolve by collaborating with your colleagues in the Services team to determine and deliver a solution. The ideal candidate understands the importance of accountability, analytical problem solving, adaptability, and active listening when working with our customers.
No prior scheduling or technology-related experience required. Expert training and mentoring on deploying and troubleshooting all applicable academic technologies (including classroom AV equipment, classroom screen projection, classroom polling, and others) provided by the ITS team and the LXI team.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Audiovisual Support:
- Class and Event support
- Setup for classes and Events
- Reviews, and submits production input for computer processing.
- Class and Event support
- Processing class recording request
- Provide updated schedules as needed
- Room checks for class, seminar, event spaces
- Asset Management:
- Organize and inventory equipment and assist with ordering supplies and materials.
- Prepare new computers, and decommission equipment
- Kiosk checks
- Service Desk Support
- Provide support at HLS ITS Service Desk
Locations: On Campus – 1585 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge MA
Hours: This position rotates weekly through a 7 hour per day rotating schedule (35h per week), to cover our service hours.
