Be a part of the engineering team that brings audio to life! The Bose Consumer Electronics Development group is seeking a passionate, hands-on Acoustical Engineering Co-Op to take part in developing audio systems. You will work with engineers to develop the next hardware for voice pickup systems in noise cancelling headphones!
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering team members to design, build, and test audio devices focused on the wearable form factor.
- Help define product performance requirements, investigate, and develop acoustical system design concepts to achieve requirements.
- Conduct acoustical measurements of components, subsystems, and full assemblies and perform thorough analysis of results.
- Clearly communicate results through peer reviews as well as presenting at formal design reviews.
- Define, specify, and validate production test equipment and processes.
- Troubleshoot acoustical failures and recommend design changes to prevent future occurrences.
Skills
- Familiarity with Matlab or another coding language.
- Curiosity towards learning acoustical measurement methods.
- Interest in acoustical hardware.
- Familiarity with CAD or interest in 3D printing.
- Hands-on debugging skills.
- Fundamentals of signal processing.
