What You Will Do
- The position will work with body and white and paint operations management team.
- The position will help develop data collection processes and help optimize manufacturing practices.
- The position will give the student opportunities to learn and apply lean business management principals within body and white and paint departments.
- The student needs to have strong MS Excel skills for data analysis and creating graphs.
- The student may need to create MS Power Point presentations, for communication of new project ideas and reports.

Minimum Education Requirements
- Applicant must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree at an accredited school and have completed 30 semester hours of undergraduate studies prior to the start of the internship.
- Summer Interns may work up to 40 hours or less per week.
- Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75.

The Interns participate in professional activities for Volvo New River Valley Plant by working on practical, innovative, and important projects. This Internship provides structured learning experiences where Interns and our Business Managers work together on projects within their selected organization. The Internship allows students to integrate knowledge and skills in a manner that is mutually beneficial to the student and the Volvo New River Valley Plant.

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $16.00 – $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
