PCI is seeking motivated individuals to join our growing employee-owned organization as an Associate Project Engineer for its operations based in multiple cities across the United States. The APE position is the breeding ground for PCI’s future leaders. This dynamic role sees front-line action in the project management and estimating arenas, and those who succeed are positioned for growth in an innovative environment. Job responsibilities include:
Conduct safety meetings
Create and manage punch lists
Support the Quality Control Measures outlined in the QA/QC program
Prepare RFI’s and submittals
Do labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering
Support the implementation of the job schedule
Coordinate warranties and O&M’s
Material coordination with purchase orders and invoicing
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or Construction Science, or comparable work experience
OSHA Certification
Minimum Requirements:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught
Customer service skills, such as able to work with customers and build strong relationships
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask
Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
Works well under pressure and deadline
