This Internship will be with Hill – LiRo Program and Construction Management, the Owners Project Manager (OPM), on multiple projects with the Rhode Island Convention Center Authority at the Amica Mutual Pavilion, RI Convention Center and other facilities.
Responsibilities:
Assist Hill- LiRo’s Project Team with day-to-day activities, tasks may include the following:
- Photo management of the activities in the field
- Assist with inspections and documentation.
- Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
- Help manage documents from Architect & Construction Manager (CM)
- Other Miscellaneous Tasks at the direction of the Hill team
Actual responsibilities will depend on the Intern’s experience.
When:
- 9-1-24 through 1-15-25. Full time position Monday-Friday
- Hourly rate will be consistent with typical industry intern wages
Qualifications:
Applicants should be interested in participating in a construction project to gain knowledge of how the business runs, how buildings go together, and the dynamics of complicated/unique projects.
Required skills and tendencies include: Plan reading, Microsoft office products, ability to learn, self-motivated, a willingness to take on challenges, always asking “why”.
OSHA 10 hour training (will be provided if not already done)
Other:
The Intern will be required to walk the job site on a regular basis. Proper dress is required which at a minimum includes long pants, a T-shirt, and work boots. Hard hats, safety glasses, and safety vest shall be provided.
