Landry/French is actively seeking co-op interns for our operations division who are enrolled in a formal construction, engineering, or architectural training/college program or equivalent building construction experience. The individual will be responsible for a wide range of activities that support field operations with direct reporting to Project Superintendent and Project Manager. Basic computer skills, can-do attitude, professional appearance, and the ability to multi-task. Interns will gain exposure to commercial construction and are assigned to projects according to the skill and qualifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include but are not limited to including:
- Assist and support Project Engineers, Project Managers and Superintendents on assigned projects using Critical Path Method (CPM) techniques.
- Assist Superintendent with the implementation and tracking of job site procedures, notifications, signage, supplies, and
- Assist in the implementation of the site safety program as required and ensure subcontractor compliance with Landry/French Construction safety standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
- Assist with the maintaining of document control and distribution of the following:
- Request for Information (RFI)
- Submittals
- Contract Documents
- Architect’s Supplemental Instructions (ASI)
- A/E Reports
- Contract Close-out Documentation (i.e., Close-out Manual)
- Punch list Management
- Review contract drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure proper coordination and
- Assist Project Manager in verifying submittal conformity to specs and assisting the Superintendent with ensuring the products used are approved for
- Assist in the development and maintenance of construction project schedules.
- Attend all trade meetings and prepare
- Assist in the development of punch lists and the follow-up necessary to ensure timely completion of punch list
- Other duties may be assigned by the project team.
