WITAero aims to provide students with exposure to the aerospace engineering field by participating in the AIAA Design-Build-Fly airplane competition. By participating in the DBF competition, students can network with companies within the aerospace engineering field, such as Lockheed Martin, Raytheon Technologies, etc. Additionally, students can elect to become an AIAA student member, providing them with additional aerospace knowledge in the form of newsletters and conferences. Underclassmen work closely with seniors to help put together a competition-ready RC airplane.
