The Center for Student Life (CSL) Co-op student will support the initiatives and mission of the Student Life office. The co-op student will learn the intricacies of working in an active student affairs office by serving in a role designed to enhance the student experience on the Wentworth campus. This position will extend to assisting the Wentworth Events Board (WEB), Student Organization Council (SOC), and other departmental entities as opportunities are presented. The Center for Student Life Co-Op role will also be open to creating individualized projects – focusing on their interests and goals pertaining to event development, content creation, budget management, and vendor relationship building.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:
- Strengthen the relationship between the CSL office and the student population through transparent content creation and event execution.
- Assess and evaluate program effectiveness pertaining to student engagement around events and other departmental output.
- Assist WEB in elevating event production through intentional planning processes, club collaboration, and mentoring the board members.
- Assist the SOC in the student organization budget process, supporting club development, and timely distribution of deliveries as they arrive.
- Craft a series of informational guides for students to learn about and engage with the student experience on the Wentworth campus.
- Create legacy documents informing the CSL office on best practices for space-use, event production, and student engagement/retention in departmental programs.
- Attend key events, including after-hours events, to support event execution.
- Open to discussing individualized interests and how the CSL can tailor parts of the job to the student’s co-op and career goals.
