Basic Job Functions:
The responsibilities of the Commercial Sales Intern include but are not limited to; being a positive team member and an active participant within our culture while taking care of our customers. The Commercial Sales Intern must have a willingness and commitment to learning about our business from the quote stage all the way through the delivery of our products to the jobsite and project management. This will involve organizing and maintaining bid information, creating and pursuing milestones to ensure activities remain on track and information is accurately shared, estimating takeoffs of steel joists and metal deck from contract drawings, and ensuring the highest standards of service are maintained through professional, informative, and responsive communications. In addition, all summer interns will participate in the corporate wide Intern Summit in which they will travel, get exposed to other Nucor teammates and interns and learn more about the opportunities within Nucor.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and
uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
