We are seeking an experienced Integrations Tester to join our team, focusing on the testing of software integrations across various systems and platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing APIs, middleware, and integration layers, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality between interconnected systems. This role requires an in-depth understanding of integration patterns, data transformation, communication protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts specifically for system integrations, including APIs, web services, and middleware
- Validate data mapping, transformation, and routing processes to ensure accurate and efficient data exchange between systems
- Work closely with developers and architects to understand integration designs and how different systems interact within the enterprise architecture
- Utilize various tools to simulate and test integration endpoints, payloads, and performance under different scenarios
- Conduct end-to-end integration testing, including both positive and negative test scenarios, to validate all aspects of the integration logic
- Identify, document, and track integration defects through resolution, working with cross-functional teams to ensure a comprehensive fix
- Monitor integration performance during testing, identifying bottlenecks or potential scalability issues
- Collaborate with teams to establish best practices for integration testing, including test automation, continuous integration (CI), and continuous deployment (CD)
- Maintain a current understanding of industry standards and best practices in integration testing, such as REST, SOAP, and messaging protocols
- Provide detailed reports on test outcomes, including recommendations for improvements and enhancements to integration strategies

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
- 5+ years of experience as an Integrations Tester with a strong understanding of system integration testing methodologies
- 5+ years of familiarity with integration architectures, such as SOA, microservices, and event-driven systems
- 5+ years of experience with testing tools and frameworks suitable for integration testing, such as Postman, SoapUI, and JMeter
- 5+ years of knowledge of data formats (e.g., XML, JSON) and communication protocols (e.g., HTTP, MQ, TCP/IP)
- 5+ years of strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues
- Must have experience working with developers, end users and organizations to create test plans and test scripts
- Have experience coordinating with test sites and other team participants to plan test events and experience in creating reports
- Must have experience with configuring necessary hardware and operating environments as needed to complete assigned testing
- Must have comprehensive technical expertise on IT products, operating systems, software, hardware, systems and networks and specialized environments
- Must have experience in writing or assisting in the development of test plans and test procedures. Must manage the defect database under the guidance of senior QA engineers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with test automation tools and scripting languages to automate integration tests
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and how they relate to integration testing and deployment
- Familiarity with cloud-based integration services and platforms
- Experience with performance and load testing to assess the robustness of integration solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and in written form
- Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- All work must be conducted in the United States
