Our Transportation Team & Projects
Transportation is essential to our daily lives. Our goal is to help people get where they need to be – smoothly, safely, and quickly. We have nearly 100 professional engineers providing traffic engineering, roadway & bridge design, and transportation planning services to state DOTs as well as regional, municipal, private, and institutional clients throughout the Northeast to reach that goal.
What will you be doing?
You will be assisting our structural bridge team with a variety of projects such as designing, building, and inspecting new bridges as well as renovating, evaluating, and designing existing bridges and support structures. There is potential to learn and perform light drafting tasks and potentially assist with small design tasks in AutoCAD.
What do you need?
You will need to be currently enrolled and pursing a BS in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering with at least 2 years of completed course work. You will need to demonstrate intellectual curiosity, a desire to solve engineering problems, flexibility, a positive attitude, and open mindedness. It would be helpful to have experience using design software.

Our internships and co-ops offer students the opportunity to work on real assignments across multiple disciplines, while also directly relating to their coursework. Students are paired with a “buddy” and supervisor, both of which provide day-to-day guidance on projects throughout the summer. We also rely heavily on our internship and co-op pool for entry-level full-time openings each year.
Compensation
The starting hourly range for candidates is: $19-$26 per hour. Your rate is determined based upon completed years of education.
