As a Construction Testing Field Technician, you will perform light to moderate labor-intensive field and lab duties and testing under the direction of other technicians or staff professionals with minimal analysis of data required. This position will work out of the Braintree, MA location with occasional local travel within RI and MA.
- Perform field and occasional lab testing of soils, concrete and asphalt to determine compliance with project specifications.
- All testing reports and observations must be tabulated and submitted daily in an electric report
- Reading and interpreting project drawings and specifications, and entering data related to the various job tasks.
- You will be required to keep equipment clean and in good working order.
- Interact with construction personnel, engineers and state and federal representatives while presenting yourself as a professional representative of the company.
- Responsible for transporting material samples to laboratory for further testing and analysis
- Driving and maintaining the appearance and operation of company vehicles to and from job sites.
- All work with be conducted in accordance with OSHA regulations and TEI Safety standards
- This job operates in both a professional office environment as well as on a variety of outdoor job sites
- Position will entail occasional exposure to outside work, dusty environments as well as sedentary work.
