We are seeking a Construction Project Manager Intern to join our Project Management team. This internship is designed to provide hands-on learning while also serving as a pathway to a full-time role after graduation. Students who excel during the program and demonstrate strong alignment with our values may be considered for long-term career opportunities with Berlin Steel. In this role, you’ll gain exposure to the full lifecycle of structural steel and misc. metals construction projects, from planning and execution through closeout. You’ll work alongside experienced Project Managers to learn how projects are scheduled, coordinated, and delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
What You’ll Learn & Do
Project Planning
- Assist in developing project schedules and timelines
- Support resource allocation and management efforts
- Participate in risk management planning for construction projects
Project Execution
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Gain experience in problem-solving and real-time decision-making
Project Closeout
- Assist with documenting project performance and lessons learned
- Participate in post-project reviews and closeout reporting
What We’re Looking For
- Current student pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills with an interest in managing complex projects
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
- Interest in steel construction or general construction project delivery
- Willingness to visit active jobsites as part of the learning experience
