- Conduct on-site observations to monitor and document day to day progress of water main installation, including tracking installed quantities, performing detailed measurements, and assisting in resolving questions and issues in the field.
- Review and understand the Contract Documents, including Plans and Specifications
- Alert the Contractor if the work they are performing is not in accordance with the Contract Documents. If required, alert the office staff and/or utility company
- Serve as the liaison between the contractor and utility company.
- Communicate daily with the RPR Manager
- Communicate daily with an assigned mentor (experienced RPR staff)
- Maintain neat and accurate project records including a daily field book, daily reports, and field sketches.
- Review the contractor’s monthly invoices and verify accurate quantities.
- Prepare redline drawings showing the actual installed materials and locations (compared to the design drawings).
