We are seeking several organized, motivated, Civil Engineering / Construction Management students to work on heavy civil construction projects in the New England area. The individual will work closely with highly skilled, professional and experienced staff and gain valuable experience in the planning and execution of a large heavy civil construction project.
Co-op Openings are available at the following projects:
- Estimating (Waltham, MA): Our Estimating team develops accurate, timely, and detailed cost estimates for large, complex, heavy civil projects ranging in value from $1 million to $625 million. Our Estimating Engineers develop quantities, prepare subcontractor and vendor scopes of work, and analyze quotes.
- VDC (Waltham, MA): Our VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) team uses BIM software to develop 2D, 3D, 4D and 5D models used for quantity calculations, constructability review, and risk management both in the proposal and job support phase of construction for projects up to $4 billion.
- I-95 / Route 10 Corridor (Providence, RI): $625 million design build project for RIDOT, which will remove 15 bridges from the state’s backlog of poor and fair condition bridges along I-95 and Route 10 between Providence and Warwick, a critical corridor that carries 185,000 vehicles daily, including 9,000 trucks and heavy freight vehicles. Co-ops will assist project managers and/or superintendents in the management and construction of the project. Work involves both administrative work in the office, as well as hands-on work in the field.
- Rourke Bridge Replacement (Lowell, MA): $274 million design build project for MassDOT, which includes design and construction of a new, relocated Rourke Bridge, and demolition of the existing structure. The project will improve safety and operational efficiency at the crossing of the Merrimack River, in Lowell, and support planned growth in the region to accommodate future traffic demand. Co-ops will assist project managers and/or superintendents in the management and construction of the project. Work involves both administrative work in the office, as well as hands-on work in the field.
