About the Role:
· The Fire Sprinkler Designer plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings by designing effective fire sprinkler systems.
· The designer will be responsible for creating detailed designs that comply with both local and national building codes, while also integrating seamlessly with other building systems.
· This role requires a proactive approach to collaboration, as the designer will work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors throughout both the design and implementation phases.
· The designer will also be tasked with reviewing blueprints and construction plans, requiring a sharp eye for detail and a solid understanding of construction specifications.
· Overall, this position is essential for maintaining safety standards in building design and construction, making it a rewarding career for those passionate about fire protection engineering and system design.
Responsibilities:
· Detailing shop drawings, installation prints, hydraulic calculations, 3D coordination, and supporting field installation crews.
· Compiling and preparing submittal plans (shop drawings) and hydraulic calculations for review by architects, engineers, clients, and authorities having jurisdiction.
· Coordinating fire sprinkler designs with building structure and other MEP subcontractors.
· Preparing cut-lists and installation prints for material procurement, working alongside project managers to meet project schedules.
