Primary Purpose:

The Construction Manager works closely with the Project Managers to manage all on-site construction activities including pre-construction, execution, and project closeout. They will work closely with the customers and subcontractors to ensure a completed scope of work that meets contract requirements.

They will be responsible for budgeting, organizing, and scheduling of one or more projects at any given point in time.

Job Responsibilities: 

Own all field-related project components including: scope implementation, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control following all applicable state/federal laws, NFPA, NEC and customer requirements

  • Review the project in depth to schedule deliverables and estimate cost
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and change order forms 

Oversee and direct subcontractors on construction projects from implementation to completion

  • Overall all on-site construction to ensure compliance with electrical and safety regulations
  • Manage material and track inventory

Communicate regularly with leadership to provide required status updates

  • Utilize Construction Services core procedures for daily and weekly reporting while maintaining project as-builts
  • Prepare internal and external reports for each project 

Anticipate potential problems by analyzing and mitigating risks

  • Ensure quality construction standard and the use of proper construction techniques 

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Associates’ degree in Construction Management or related majors
  • One (1) to Three (3) years of experience in construction, electrical, planning, design, relationship management
  • Advanced knowledge of Construction Management processes, means and methods
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, relevant rules/regulations, and quality standards
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages
  • Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management
  • Leadership and human resources management skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Experience with Microsoft programs including Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
  • PMP, OSHA 30, EM-385 1-1, QCM and First Aid CPR Certifications are a plus
