Job Description
The Interior Architectural Design Intern will assist the senior design team with drafting and the development of technical drawings (utilizing Revit) and interior specification packages for custom residential home projects. This role will require a creative individual with strong attention to detail so that architectural drawings sets are thorough.
You will collaborate closely with Owner + Principal Designer Nicola Manganello, as well as builders, consultants, and project managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to the interior design team for design of custom residential homes from initial concept through construction documentation.
- Drafting in Revit, including floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules.
- Development of 2D drawings and 3D renderings to help clients visualize design recommendations.
- Sourcing of materials and preparation of presentation materials for client presentations.
- Coordination with vendors and product representatives.
- Conduct site visits as needed to verify field conditions and ensure drawings align with construction progress.
- Maintain drawing standards, file organization, documentation, and quality control across projects.
- Maintain interior design sample library.
