Role and Responsibilities:
Nappa Electrical Contractors is seeking to fill the Estimating Coordinator position with a candidate who is looking for the opportunity to continue and advance their career within the company.
The selected candidate will primarily work within the Nappa Estimating Department. The career path beyond Estimating Coordinator is Project Estimator, Senior
Estimator, Estimating Manager. Below are the Estimating Coordinator’s primary responsibilities.
· Reply to “Invitations to Bid“ from clients
· Setup job number and job folder for bidding opportunities
· Setup calendar for “Bid Due” and site walkthroughs dates
· Attend pre-bid job walkthrough with client
· Print bid drawings or use Bluebeam to perform takeoff (counts) for material
· Request, receive and review material quotes from vendors
· Write detailed bid proposals using standard Nappa bid templates
· Review projects with Estimating Manager and Project Estimator for accuracy
· Attend weekly Nappa Staff meetings
Preferred Skills:
· 1-3 years of electrical field experience is preferred but not required
· Desire to learn and advance career
· Ability to read and understand construction documents (drawings, specifications)
· Proficiency or ability to learn Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Bluebeam, etc.)
· Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
· Strong memory and ability to visualize
