Land Survey Technician

About Us: Meninno Construction is a civil site contractor specializing in earthmoving and site infrastructure for commercial and residential developments. We handle all excavation needs, drainage and utility work, roadwork, and site development.
Role Summary: We’re seeking a Land Survey Technician to support field and office surveying tasks. You’ll work both inside and outside using GPS surveying equipment and AutoCAD to study and create 2D and 3D imaging used for estimating, logistics, and site layout.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review AutoCAD plans for takeoffs, including cut/fill analysis and quantity calculations
- Translate AutoCAD information into GPS coordinate data for field layout
- Use field GPS surveying equipment to collect data and integrate into AutoCAD models
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D plans and site models for estimating and construction logistics
- Work closely with project leaders to support civil construction activities
- Demonstrate interest in civil construction and willingness to learn site coordination and execution processes
Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in AutoCAD (required)
- Comfortable working with GPS surveying equipment and transferring data between field devices and CAD software
- Strong attention to detail and basic math/measurement skills
- Reliable, able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in construction
- Hands-on — not afraid to stomp around in the mud a bit
Team & Reporting:
- Reports within a small team of ~8–10 people, working directly with company leadership
Work Environment:
- Team-oriented construction environment with both office and field responsibilities
