This is a full-time paid internship/co-op from June 2, 2025 – August 29, 2025. Program dates can be flexible based on the selected candidate’s school schedule. This is an in-person position. Remote work options will not be available.
Assist facility staff regarding responsibilities for the filling and distribution of office supply orders. Maintains central stockroom inventory. Provides back-up assistance to the mailroom and warehouse. Perform various duties pertaining to janitorial, construction, and structural maintenance at central and Lottery offices. Perform task related to vehicle fleet maintenance and management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in maintains the integrity of the building environment and works closely with the Property Manager and vendors.
- Assist in coordinating with other facilities staff/building maintenance related to resolving issues pertaining to various building and maintenance concerns such as roof leaks, gas leaks, HVAC balancing and maintenance, plumbing issues, and electrical repairs.
- Assist in Coordinating with vendors and various department designees for all special construction projects and employee office moves/new hires.
- Fills and delivers office supply requests to all departments of the Lottery.
- Accepts deliveries, verify quantities, and forwards appropriate paperwork to purchasing department as needed.
- Deliver goods to proper area of the building and maintain integrity of inventory control system.
- Maintain central office supply room.
- Performs physical inventory of supplies as directed.
- Performs maintenance/facility improvements such as painting at central and regional offices.
- Provide relocation assistance for modular furnishings during department relocations.
- Responsible for Lottery Office Paper recycling program.
- Assist mailroom with sorting and delivering mail as needed.
- Assist in the administration/record keeping of the Lottery fleet of vehicles including, but not limited to, records of mileage reports, auditing, and recording of all scheduling and bills for repairs, accidents, vehicle safety inspections, fuel cards, vehicle assignments, general maintenance, and all other related fleet management issues. Utilize the computer fleet software when necessary.
- Must possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and have the ability to travel to different locations, as needed.
