Kevin Cradock Woodwork (KCW) Engineer and Draftsperson
KEY ATTRIBUTES:
- Evenly tempered; able to function happily in time-sensitive work
- Accuracy, consistency, and care with detail-oriented tasks
- Solution-oriented and consistently well-organized
- Flexibility; ability to reprioritize and/or change tasks as needed
- Ability to work primarily in a computer-based, office and shop environment
- Practical and meticulous facility with AutoCAD LT (2D)
SOFTWARE IN USE:
- AutoCAD LT, Procore, Basecamp, Google Workspace, and Smartsheets
- Cabinet Vision and/or AlphaCam are both under consideration; facility with either/both may become helpful
WORK WITH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CUSTOMERS:
- Develop and maintain project information using AutoCAD LT, Procore, Basecamp, Google Workplace/Drive folders, and Smartsheets
- Collaborate with Kevin Cradock Builders (KCB) and KCW teams to retrieve and organize equipment and materials/finish specifications
- Generate material take offs from drawings
- Ensure that relevant participants are included in correspondence appropriately
ENGINEERING AND DRAWING:
- Assist with RFI’s (requests for information) and RFP’s (requests for proposals/pricing) for design professionals and vendors
- Review drawings for detailing challenges and suggest appropriate solutions
- Engineer and draft shop drawings in AutoCAD LT, using KCW standards
- Complete shop drawings through submittals and revisions
- Generate initial drafts to develop field dimensions and other site information
- Scan molding samples; draft molding and tooling orders
- Format digital drawings for CNC manufacturing processes
CLOSE COLLABORATION WITH:
- Millwork Manager, Project Managers, Production Manager, and Project Coordinators
