Construction Project Management & Estimating Co-op. This position will work directly with project managers and estimators to reviews design and bidding documents, evaluate subcontractor bids, and assist in overseeing the construction progress and schedule. Additionally, this position will provides technical support to construction staff under the supervision of a Project Manager.
While working with the Project Managers this Co-op will go in depth on many project management activities including but not limited to Meeting Minutes, RFIs, Submittals, Change Events, Change Orders, Schedules, and Subcontracts. This Co-op will also be exposed to industry standard project management tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project.
While working with the Estimators this Co-op will work to procure subcontractor bids, review documents to confirm scopes, and input data into the shared project estimate spreadsheet. This Co-op will work to complete proposals and submit construction estimates to clients for future award.
Finally, this Co-op will visit the project sites, to assist the Project Management, Estimating, or Field teams in their daily activities. Overall, this Co-op will be exposed to the full lifecycle of a construction project and will gain valuable office and field experience.
