The Electrical Engineering Coop role is primarily to support the electrical engineering team during the process of developing new products. The student will report to the Director of Hardware Engineering. This involves many responsibilities including:
- Constructing and testing prototypes where required during the product development process. This could include prototypes to be sent to customers for early adoption and testing.
- Supporting the engineering team with documentation requirements during the product development process.
- Researching new techniques or technologies to help inform future product developments.
- Generating ideas to improve existing products and processes.
- Terminating cables with connectors to support shipments of prototypes.
- Marking-up drawings and documenting the wiring of 1-off prototypes for future reference.
