Summary
We are seeking a Carpenter Apprentice to join our skilled team at Halliday Construction Corp. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to learn the trade while working on various residential projects. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience and develop your skills under the guidance of experienced carpenters.
Responsibilities
- Assist experienced carpenters with various construction tasks including framing, drywall installation, and finishing work.
- Learn to read blueprints and understand project specifications.
- Utilize power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
- Participate in concrete forming and masonry tasks as needed.
- Support remodeling projects by assisting with door hanging, flooring installation, and other tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of power tools and construction techniques is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read blueprints or willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
