Gentex Corporation is currently seeking an Industrial Design intern for the Fall 2026 semester. Our internship program allows students the opportunity to obtain valuable, applicable work experience in a fast-paced, and challenging environment. The design Intern will focus on assisting full time designers create 3D models and physical prototypes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to sketching, 3D modeling, model making, casting, laser cutting, painting, sewing/soft goods, composite layup and 3D printing. Applicant must be proficient with the Adobe creative suite and familiar with Solidworks. The applicant should have strong hand and digital sketching skills and be able to clearly communicate design concepts to the team. Model shop experience using machines to create one off prototypes is a plus. Sewing experience is also a plus. Applicants should be currently enrolled in an accredited Industrial Design program and submit a resume and portfolio.
