Position Summary: The Project Engineer at GAGE Construction provides critical support to the project team in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. Working under the direction of the Project Manager and in coordination with field leadership, this role is responsible for maintaining project documentation, supporting communication, and ensuring the accurate flow of information across all phases of the project.
The Project Engineer plays a key role in keeping projects organized, on schedule, and aligned with GAGE standards while developing the skills necessary for advancement into project management.

Project Administration & Coordination
· Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day project coordination.
· Prepare and distribute meeting minutes, reports, and project documentation.
· Maintain organized digital project files across Procore and company systems.
· Serve as a liaison between office and field teams to ensure clear communication.
Document Control & Information Management
· Manage RFIs, submittals, and project logs from initiation through closeout.
· Track material procurement and submittal status using standardized reporting tools.
· Maintain accurate and audit-ready project records and documentation.
· Support project closeout including O&M manuals and final documentation.
Procurement & Buyout Support
· Assist with subcontractor bidding, bid package development, and scope definition.
· Support bid leveling and subcontractor selection process.
· Track procurement activities including subcontracts, purchase orders, and COIs.
· Maintain accurate bid and procurement documentation.
Cost & Change Management Support
· Assist with monthly cost tracking, reporting, and forecasting.
· Support validation of subcontractor invoices against project progress.
· Assist with preparation and tracking of change orders, T&M work, and allowances.
· Maintain accurate logs for project financial tracking.
Field Coordination & Execution Support
· Provide support to field teams including site visits, documentation, and coordination.
· Assist with QA/QC processes, inspections, and punch list tracking.
· Support permitting, inspections, and Certificate of Occupancy requirements.
· Assist with updating schedules and tracking project progress.
Safety & Quality Support
· Assist with maintaining safety documentation and compliance requirements.
· Support safety inspections, reporting, and follow-up on deficiencies.
· Participate in jobsite walkthroughs and reinforce safety and quality standards.
