Feldman Geospatial is a third-generation, family-owned Land Surveying firm founded in 1946 by Harry R. Feldman. We provide land surveying, 3D scanning, construction engineering, building information modeling, Subsurface Utility Engineering, GPR, Geophysical, and consulting services to a wide range of clients including developers, non-profits, architects, construction managers, general contractors, engineers, attorneys, and consultants, as well as government, education, healthcare, and religious institutions.
Position Overview:
The Intern/Co-Op is an integral part of the Feldman Geospatial team and will learn from and work with both Field and Office Operations staff, providing support for and contributing to assigned projects and duties. Utilizing exceptional adaptability and flexibility to make a positive impact on their learning and our organization’s results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend daily project briefings led by the Crew Chief or with office staff to fully understand project objectives and receive daily assignment.
- Work in tandem with Crew Chief to download data collector for current day and turn in any applicable data from previous workday.
- Communicate with Crew Chief about any equipment and/or supplies needed to be secured before departing for assigned workstation/job site.
- Operate all assigned instruments and tools efficiently and accurately, following proper procedures, with demonstrated expertise and in compliance with safety training and laws
- Continuously communicate with Crew Chief, including swift notification when project challenges arise (i.e., a point doesn’t click, targets are off, point on lone not lining up).
- Understand full scope of projects and be able to fully communicate job details to Crew Chief in the case of extenuating circumstances.
- Remain actively focused and always engaged on the task at hand, free of distractions, to ensure quality and efficiency of work and safety for all crew members and client/public.
- Assist 3D Services department in the scanning and integration of project data.
- Perform any other related tasks assigned by either the Crew Chief, BIM Manager or Director of 3D Services.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be participating in related post-secondary educational program.
- Proficient time management skills.
- Demonstrated coachability.

- Demonstrated outstanding time and attendance.
- Knowledge and understanding of required trigonometric and other basic math functions.

Working Conditions:
- The physical work environment is most often outdoors, with long periods of standing, working at heights, sometimes physical and working in extreme weather conditions. You must be available to travel to multiple sitework locations.
- Must be able to lift give approx. 50 pounds.
