We are seeking an entry level land surveyor for a full-time position to join our team. We are a Civil/Survey Consulting firm providing full survey, site design and permitting services for all types of development projects. Our immediate need is for a field surveyor to complement our survey department. We are open to all experience levels and are willing to train the right individual. The small size of our firm will allow the applicant to see all aspects of a project from start to finish and not simply the same repetitive task. You will be exposed to initial research, through the field survey, to final plan preparation.
The ideal candidate will have a surveying certificate or undergraduate degree in Land Surveying with some experience in the work force. A Candidate with no survey experience; having a desire to learn is also welcome to apply. If you have a desire to make Land Surveying a career, we will be glad to train the right person. Cooperative Education experience is a definite benefit. Any candidate with a desire to work in the Land Surveying field will be considered. Projects vary from Property line survey, ALTA Surveys, Land Court, Site Plans, topography and utility surveys, construction survey and layout, etc… AutoCAD Civil 3D, Data Collection and COGO software knowledge helpful.
The successful candidate should expect to be in the field daily during all seasons. A typical work week will be 40 hours. Most of the day will be in the field with some office time to prepare field data, organize the days’ work, and/or supporting plan preparation. Severe weather days will be in the office with plan preparation, AutoCAD design, research or any other support needed.
