Project Engineer
Primary Function:
Assist in the project execution and on-going support of both small and large piping projects. Participate in the management of overall project cycles to meet company objectives in Safety, Quality and Productivity.
General Overview:
Reports to a Sr. Project Manager.
Prepare detailed technical submittal packages.
Assist in bid preparation including material take offs and supplier quotes. Specification review and drawing interpretation.
Material and equipment procurement and delivery coordination.
Maintain Project files.
Change order estimating and processing. Closeout documentation including QA / QC packages and O&M manuals
Typical Duties:
Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control,
integration, and completion of the project within area of assigned responsibility.
Reviews design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and design and test requirements.
Evaluates design changes, specifications and drawing releases.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction
Management or a related discipline with zero to two year of experience.
