Position Summary- UNPAID
The Office of the General Counsel at Curry College seeks a detail-oriented and highly organized Project Manager Intern/Extern to support the planning, coordination, and execution of legal, compliance, and risk-related projects across the institution. Reporting directly to the General Counsel (a solo practitioner), the intern will play a key role in organizing workflows, tracking deliverables, managing timelines, and improving process efficiency within a resource-constrained environment.
This role is well-suited for students interested in project management, higher-education administration, law, public policy, or organizational operations. The position is administrative and project-focused, not legal in nature, and does not involve providing legal advice or legal analysis.
Key Responsibilities
A. Project Coordination & Tracking
· Assist in managing multiple concurrent projects (e.g., policy updates, compliance initiatives, investigations support, audits, training rollouts)
· Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, task lists, and status trackers
· Track deliverables, deadlines, and dependencies across projects
· Follow up with internal stakeholders on outstanding tasks or documentation
B. Workflow & Process Support
· Help document existing workflows and recommend efficiency improvements
· Create standardized templates, checklists, and task trackers for recurring projects
· Support lifecycle management for initiatives (intake → execution → completion)
C. Meeting & Communication Support
· Prepare agendas, notes, and action-item lists for meetings involving the General Counsel
· Maintain action-item logs and ensure follow-through
· Assist with drafting clear, non-substantive communications to campus partners (scheduling, reminders, status updates)
D. Documentation & Information Management
· Organize project-related documents and files in shared systems (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Google Drive)
· Maintain version control and naming conventions
· Prepare non-analytical summaries, timelines, or issue trackers from records provided
E. Administrative & Special Projects
· Support time-sensitive or short-term projects as assigned
· Assist with data collection, reporting, or dashboard preparation
· Provide general administrative support that improves capacity and continuity in a solo GC office
