Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Project Management Co-op to support day-to-day operations across multiple residential projects. This role offers direct exposure to real-world construction management, including scheduling, estimating, subcontractor coordination, and client communication.
This is a hands-on position working closely with the owner and team, ideal for a student pursuing Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Coordination & Scheduling
- Assist in scheduling subcontractors and tracking project timelines
- Coordinate daily and weekly job site activities
- Help maintain project schedules and adjust as needed
- Estimating & Pricing
- Solicit and compare bids from subcontractors and suppliers
- Assist in preparing estimates for projects (small jobs to full builds)
- Track material and labor costs
- Procurement & Materials
- Order materials and coordinate deliveries to job sites
- Ensure materials are on-site ahead of scheduled work
- Permitting & Compliance
- Assist with permit applications and inspections
- Coordinate with local building departments, conservation commissions, and inspectors
- Client & Team Communication
- Provide project updates to clients
- Prepare status reports for internal tracking
- Support communication between field crews, subs, and management
- General Project Support
- Visit job sites to monitor progress and document work
- Help solve day-to-day project challenges
- Maintain organized project documentation
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related program (Wentworth preferred)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at once
- Basic understanding of construction processes preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and general computer skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
