Construction Project Management Co-op

Location: Marshfield, MA
Schedule: 30+ hours per week (Co-op Semester)

About Us

Cleveland Family Builders is a design-build residential construction company specializing in high-quality renovations, additions, custom homes, and development projects. We take pride in craftsmanship, organization, and delivering a high-end product with a hands-on, client-focused approach.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Project Management Co-op to support day-to-day operations across multiple residential projects. This role offers direct exposure to real-world construction management, including scheduling, estimating, subcontractor coordination, and client communication.

This is a hands-on position working closely with the owner and team, ideal for a student pursuing Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination & Scheduling
    • Assist in scheduling subcontractors and tracking project timelines
    • Coordinate daily and weekly job site activities
    • Help maintain project schedules and adjust as needed
  • Estimating & Pricing
    • Solicit and compare bids from subcontractors and suppliers
    • Assist in preparing estimates for projects (small jobs to full builds)
    • Track material and labor costs
  • Procurement & Materials
    • Order materials and coordinate deliveries to job sites
    • Ensure materials are on-site ahead of scheduled work
  • Permitting & Compliance
    • Assist with permit applications and inspections
    • Coordinate with local building departments, conservation commissions, and inspectors
  • Client & Team Communication
    • Provide project updates to clients
    • Prepare status reports for internal tracking
    • Support communication between field crews, subs, and management
  • General Project Support
    • Visit job sites to monitor progress and document work
    • Help solve day-to-day project challenges
    • Maintain organized project documentation

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related program (Wentworth preferred)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at once
  • Basic understanding of construction processes preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel and general computer skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
