We have many projects throughout Boston working with the large General Contractors. This is a great opportunity for a Student/Young professional to work with different architectural firms drawings and General Contractors.
The typical responsibilities are to learn the specific details of the position and to assist the Lead estimator and/or Project Manager with duties of job searching, estimating, performance of field personnel and project close out.
Essential functions are; Prepare Quantity Takeoffs, Prepare and maintain cost assemblies, research sub-contractors and vendors, advise estimator of potential problems during scope review, assist in shop drawings, bidding and field quality inspections, maintain drawing logs and other responsibilities.
Skills and abilities: Ability to read blueprints, working knowledge of Bluebeam, CADD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and excellent communication skills. Ability to drive to construction sites and observe field workers when required.
Pay up to $80k, vehicle allowance, 401K and vehicle insurance.
