We strongly welcome applicants of all disciplines interested in the foundation of the construction world!
Material Quality and Safety is an industry focus that affects each one of us every day. Your experience with ATANE will unveil the base on which function and design rely.
From Civil Engineering and Construction Management to Architecture and Applied Sciences, a student in your position will benefit from immersive hands-on experiences both at active construction sites and within our full-service Concrete and Aggregates Test Lab.
You will assist both the Laboratory Manager and Field Special Inspectors providing real-world data for concrete, asphalt, soils, and structural steel inspections, and work with office management to experience client relations, subcontracting procedures, and state and federal guideline compliance.
Field activities involve handling freshly mixed concrete with the ability to navigate uneven terrain (open, unpaved construction sites) while outfitted with safety apparel (hardhat, safety glasses, safety vest, work gloves, etc.), and have personal comfort in the presence of heavy machinery (concrete trucks and earth movers). Safety briefings and site etiquette orientation will take place prior to all field activities.
Laboratory activities require the ability to lift 10-20 lbs and manipulate tasks while wearing required nitrile gloves, safety glasses and a dust mask.
Office work allows office-appropriate casual attire.
ALL work requires a great attitude and a fun, inquisitive personality!
Requiring full participation, you will apply your materials science knowledge to a full breadth of data acquisition, tabulation, and reporting. From this experience, you will acquire a unique perspective of your field of study that sets you apart from your peers.
Applicable certification opportunities will be provided.
We’re passionate about our work here at ATANE and looking forward to hearing from a diverse group of technical professionals, so please reach out and start a conversation!!
Talk to you soon!!
