The Production Engineer Intern role at ANCORE is an in-person role designed for a current mechanical engineering student passionate about designing, building, and testing mechanical systems, tooling, and products. With our first product in the market, our engineering team is actively working on current model enhancements, future product pipeline, and facility production processes. The Production Engineer intern will work closely with our lead engineer and our head of manufacturing with a particular focus on our production processes. This includes learning the production process by doing, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and designing, building, or identifying tooling, processes or supplies that create scalability and or efficiencies. The focus of this role is to help scale our production processes in line with the demand for our products. To be successful, the candidate will need knowledge of CAD software, be mechanically inclined, and have hands on mechanical experience. This position is for someone comfortable at a desk designing and away from the desk building.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use Computer Aided Design (CAD) programs to create production and assembly tooling
- Gather necessary materials or resources needed
- Test the tooling for usability and safety
- Partner with head of manufacturing to evaluate assembly processes and determine improvements.
