We are looking for an enthusiastic architectural and engineering intern to provide support for our Transportation and Water/Wastewater Design Groups in both the Boston and Chelmsford, MA offices. Under the responsible charge of a Registered Professional you will be responsible for the following items:
- Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer
- Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures
- Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests
- Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
- Prepare related calculations, write reports, develop drawings and visual aids
- Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member
Must Have Skills/Experience (Including any required Certifications):
• Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
• Solid understanding of various architectural / engineering techniques
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of MS Office Programs
• Knowledge of design software (e.g. Autodesk Civil 3D, BIM, Microstation, Inroads, AutoTURN…)
• Passion for the design industry and its best practices
• Current enrollment in a BS architectural or engineering program
