The Electrical Engineering Intern is responsible for working with engineers to help them with projects. Provide technical assistance and support in the performance of all functions of the Engineering Department under the direction of the Engineering Manager and or Product Engineers. Assist in working on validation documentation, participating in tests, troubleshooting, and most engineering areas as required by supervisor.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct verification and validation testing by collecting several types of data under the direction of the appropriate product engineer. Compile test data and compose test reports.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or may be necessary to maintain flow of work.
Evaluate manufacturing assembly, testing, and packaging activities relative to product lines.
Support the development and documentation of standard procedures, design standardization, and engineering change notices.
Provide engineering solutions for other departments as required and resolve problems with components and products with only limited supervision.
Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications. Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
Participate in cross functional teams, failure investigations and corrective action/preventive actions.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Advanced technical college courses in an approved program leading to an Associates or B.S. degree. Familiarity with engineering math and ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings required. Maintain a minimum of a 3.0 out of 4.0 overall grade point average. Proficient in MS Office applications
