DMS design, llc is an award winning full-service architecture & interior design firm that specializes in producing thoughtfully designed multi-family and single-family housing, commercial spaces, office-fit-ups and fire/flood disaster reconstruction projects. DMS excels at meeting deadlines, meeting budgets and, most of all, meeting client expectations through proven expertise.
DMS was founded in 2006 and is located at the Cummings Center in Beverly, MA. DMS works on architectural projects throughout New England and internationally in Liberia and Sierra Leone in Africa and in Haiti. Dan Skolski is the Managing Principal and brings 20+ years of experience in housing and is licensed in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island and South Carolina.
DMS single-family experience includes new construction, additions, renovations, and in-law suites. DMS also specializes in aging in place renovations and/or additions. We have had the pleasure of working with 100+ homeowners to make their design dreams a reality.
DMS multi-family housing experience includes affordable housing, mixed income and market rate projects. DMS has worked with funding agencies such as MassHousing, DHCD, the City of Boston’s DND and HUD and we have experience with Workforce housing projects in New Hampshire. We also have experience with the renovation of occupied, affordable apartment buildings utilizing LIHTC and/or historic tax credits.
DMS commercial experience includes capital needs assessments and feasibility studies, code compliance and review for office build-outs. Commercial project experience ranges in scope from restaurant renovations and hair salons, to build-out of medical offices and corporate offices.
DMS interior design experience includes standalone services for residential and commercial projects. Many of our clients take advantage of having both architecture and interiors in one stop at DMS. Our interior design work includes single-family and multi-family residential projects as well as corporate branding design for commercial projects.
DMS is community minded and has enjoyed working charitably for Boys & Girls Club of America, Habitat for Humanity, and a non-profit Haiti organization. Our goal is to continue to provide pro bono architectural services annually to an organization that is providing housing or services for families in need.
