Wentworth’s Bachelor of Science in Electromechanical Engineering prepares students to become practicing engineers poised to develop innovative solutions to problems in industry, government and academia.

This interdisciplinary program enables you to build a solid foundation in mathematics, science, the humanities and social sciences, and the essential elements of electrical and mechanical engineering. The program features engineering design courses, the extensive use of computers to solve engineering problems and a faculty committee management structure that responds quickly to industrial changes and the academic needs of students.

From the Lab to the World

As an electromechanical engineering student at Wentworth, you’ll spend a great deal of time using computers and microprocessors in our state-of-the-art laboratories. You’ll test equipment extensively to verify and develop principles of engineering in diverse areas such as mechanics of materials, embedded microcontroller systems, analog and digital circuit design, thermodynamics, vibrations, materials science, feedback controls and machine design.

Wentworth alumni make significant contributions to the design and development of complex electromechanical systems. You’ll graduate well prepared to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams to analyze data critically, synthesize information and implement ethical solutions for the betterment of society.

Accreditation

We are proud to offer the only Electromechanical Engineering program in the United States accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. Career Outcomes

The First Destination Survey is administered bi-annually to all bachelor’s and master’s degree students who participated in the December, April, or August commencement exercises. The data below is collected up to six months following graduation by Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Center for Cooperative Education and Career Development. This information is collected in accordance with the national standards established by NACE.

First Destination

First Destination is a nationally recognized term that is used to describe the first experiences of college graduates.  At Wentworth, we survey students at cap and gown pick-up and follow up within six months following graduation. Undergraduate students pursue a variety of opportunities post-graduation, including full-time employment, graduate school, and entrepreneurial endeavors.
